Joshua and Kristen
Together is our favorite place to be

We’re a husband-and-wife team and the founders of Parkin Motorsports, a family-owned automotive and powersports shop proudly serving the Katy area for over a year. What began as a leap of faith has grown into a trusted local business focused on motorcycle, powersport, and automotive repair, maintenance, restorations, and custom work—built on honesty, skilled craftsmanship, and clear communication.

Kristen also owns Summer Rose Shoppe, a creative studio offering handcrafted items and custom digital designs. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from West Virginia University, along with minors in Music and Philosophy. Her business-focused academic background helps guide operations, customer experience, and long-term growth at Parkin Motorsports. Her attention to detail and passion for building thoughtful systems play a key role in how the business serves its customers.

Married for nearly a decade, we’re raising five kids—one in college, one in middle school, and three energetic elementary boys—who keep us busy, grounded, and motivated. Family isn’t just part of our story; it’s the reason we value transparency, safety, and long-term relationships with every customer who walks through our doors.

Josh brings a rare blend of technical precision and hands-on passion to the shop. He began his career as a computer engineer with the government and school systems, developing strong analytical and problem-solving skills that now guide his approach to diagnostics and repairs. While technology was his profession, vehicles have always been his true passion. From motorcycles and classic cars to RVs, off-road builds, and everything in between, Josh has spent years learning, building, and refining his craft with a focus on doing things right, not just fast.

Originally from Virginia, we relocated to Texas in search of growth, opportunity, and warmer weather. Today, we’re proud to call Katy home and even prouder to be building a business rooted in community, craftsmanship, and trust—one vehicle at a time.
